For the Summer 2007 session, two to three authors were give the same theme out of nine categories to create a story and show the different ways the same basic plot could play out. They were also given three other items to include in their story.
The themes were:
- A failed elopement
- A relationship that doesn’t seem like it’s mean to be
- Mending a broken heart
- Not knowing oneself
- A bad first impression
- Unexpected pregnancy
- A series of serendipitous meetings
- Breaking up
- Falling in love with a best friend
This was also The Spark Inside’s most successful challenge topping off with the most participants ever, which was 20 people.
